Give every screen a priority
Decide which action or piece of information matters most. Make it visually prominent and give supporting content a quieter treatment. When everything competes for attention, the visitor has to do more work.
Use contrast with intention
Text needs enough contrast against its background. Color can highlight an action, but it should not be the only signal. Add clear labels, visible focus states and understandable feedback.
Make patterns consistent
Use the same button treatment for the same kind of action. Keep spacing, labels and navigation patterns consistent. Familiar patterns help visitors understand a new page without starting over.
Design for the content you actually have
Use realistic titles, descriptions and images during design. Test long words, empty results and small screens. A layout should accommodate real content, not only the shortest example.
